Our four year curriculum is modeled after the very best that has been designed and implemented at the top rated medical schools in the United States. The curriculum is based on the best of adult learning theory and practice as we take advantage of current technology, problem based learning and, most importantly, the integration of the foundations of medicine (basic sciences) and clinical disciplines.
Key to the success of our curriculum is our choice of St. Vincent and the Grenadines as home base for the basic sciences and the Advanced Introduction to Clinical Medicine. There we partner with the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and a network of local clinics – where our students can spend time working with physicians in private practice, and can participate in semester long clinical applications courses that follow several actual medical cases that will draw upon the foundations courses currently under study simultaneously with clinical applications courses.
Milton Cato Memorial Hospital is a bona-fide teaching hospital that makes it possible to offer this highly integrated Foundations program.
