Caribbean School of Medicine

Looking for the right Caribbean school of medicine?

Trinity School of Medicine is an accredited international medical school offering the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree using curriculum based on medical education standards used in United States. Located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinity is helping to fill a growing demand for new M.D.s in North America by educating its students.

In the United States alone, more than 42,000 students apply for just 18,000 available med school seats each year. To respond to this demand, a group of concerned educational and business leaders joined together to establish a unique medical training institution. The result of their efforts is Trinity School of Medicine.

Why Choose Trinity School of Medicine?

Trinity students enjoy a number of advantages over U.S. and Canadian medical schools, as well as over other Caribbean School of Medicines.

  • Education: Trinity's curriculum follows the U.S. medical education model, based on established medical learning theory and practice. Trinity students will be prepared to embark upon their clinical training alongside students from U.S. and Canadian medical schools.
  • Faculty: Our faculty is solely focused on medical education; professors are able to dedicate themselves to preparing students for success on licensure exams and their eventual work in the field. Trinity utilizes visiting faculty from North American medical schools to teach the basic sciences as well as in a clinical context through interdisciplinary blocks. They have provided direct preliminary clinical training to more than 5,000 physicians now practicing in North America.
  • Teaching Hospital: Trinity School of Medicine has exclusive rights to use Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for teaching purposes—making Trinity one of the few Caribbean School of Medicines with a truly integrated hospital experience.
  • Cost: Trinity is less expensive than most US and Canadian medical schools, and even more affordable than many Caribbean med schools.
  • Hands-on Learning: Early opportunities for clinical experiences begin in the first term and are integral to each of the first five terms in the form of Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM). ICM includes weekly hospital-based patient care experiences for students.
  • USMLE Test Prep: Trinity goes above and beyond to prepare students for the USMLE Step 1 test with formal, supplemental reviews after each term to ensure that what's been learned will be retained and applied at exam time. Additionally our low (8:1) student-to-teacher ratio means you'll receive personal attention, plus tutors offering extra instruction as needed, to ensure your success.
  • Location: St. Vincent and the Grenadines has much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast from volcano top hikes to botanical gardens and beautiful uncrowded beaches. The locals provide a warm and friendly environment and are proud to be in partnership with our institution.
